2021 in Review

2021 was, again, a pretty quiet year for my music but was filled with the blessing of singing on Saturday afternoons at Cooter's place outside along with returning indoors later in the year. Our outside Sunday Morning Worship services continued in the pavilion on the first and third Sundays on up into late fall along with a Gospel Hill tent revival in the summer held on the grounds of Cooter's Place. Pretty exciting place to be!

Also, I was blessed to spend the week at the Rockingham County Fair singing and experienced my first time back ministering in music at a church in December, that just whet my appetite again for doing what I enjoy with all my heart...singing.

But this year also stretched my creative side when I felt led to write a children's book entitled, "My Blessings Book"/A Book Of Blessings for Children that came out in late August. And then a new devotional based on the radio show I've been doing for a few years entitled, "True Beauty Moments". The devotional came out in mid November.

In December I was honored to be featured on Ben "Cooter" Jones' Christmas CD singing some of my favorite Christmas songs. I felt so grateful to be recording again since my last project was in August of 2017. I'm praying for a whole new CD soon!

So,it's been a pretty different and incredible year to say the least. My time spent with God seeking Him and His will for my life really opened my eyes to a part of me that He introduced a while back in 2019 when I started writing my memories down of my amazing journey in music, which turned into my first book, "My Life As a Girl-Singer"/A Testimony of God's Love that came out in late February 2020...right before the shutdown of the world as we knew it.

As I sit here writing this blog I feel blessed beyond measure and more in love with my Savior than ever while asking for His plan for my life.

His Word says in Proverbs 3:5-6,"Trust in Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths."

One thing I know for sure is that all my hope is in Jesus, not in my circumstances or the way of the world. Praying the same for you all.

Seek Him first!

Blessings,

Lisa
